Principal photography for The Proposal has ended. We now begin editing. I don't need to mention this but... editing makes a movie. The cuts made dictate pacing, tension and mood. Editing can polish your project, or kill it. I'm nervous about this. Having, for the last two years, been the purveyor of single shot photo-plays- my trigger finger may be a tad rusty.
I wish I could show you guys the animatic I made for the film, but I can't without giving anything away. So for now, you'll have to settle for a few storyboard panels.
Soon, Jay Wallace (my D.P. on the film) will have some behind the scenes pics and video. Special thanks go to my brother Monty for recording and monitoring sound (as well as many other preparations and support), Nick Bowlin for operating boom and having the thankless job of "light clicker" and Jay Wallace for easing me back into live action filmmaking. I couldn't have done any of this without you.
Before I sign off, I want to give a shout out to my friend Brent Buckingham, who has recently had the frustration and excitement of directing his first music video. I am extremely jealous, I've been trying to get to do one of these for years. Good job Brent!
