The Facts in the Case of Mister Hollow (2008) Dir. Rodrigo Gudiño, Vincent Marcone
Mister Hollow is one of the most interesting short films I’ve ever seen. The audience takes on the role of an investigator looking at a photograph in the case of child disappearances. Using depth and animation, the photograph is revealed to hold more than expected. I enjoy the feeling of being an investigator instead of just a passive audience member, the film also made me feel like I was looking at an event that I was powerless to stop, adding to the horror of the piece.
If you like the work of H.P. Lovecraft than you should enjoy the oddity that is The Facts in the Case of Mister Hollow
